Hi there,
This image shows a human skull beeing reconstructed out of CT data. The file has been imported into 3ds max 7 and rendered in Maxwell Render. It is part of a series of studies concerning the manufacturing of artificial skull implants.
This study will be published sometime soon whereas this image is just for presentation purposes.
Below you see a Mental Ray render with the head and one of the implants merged.
